NFL Career

After 198 picks in the NFL Draft of 2000, Tom Brady was selected by the New England Patriots in the 6th round.  26 future pro bowlers were picked ahead of him including Thomas Jones, Brian Urlacher, Shaun Alexander, and the Patriots very own Adalius Thomas (also selected in the 6th round), however, no one has had quite the success Tom Brady has had in the NFL.
In his first season, Tom was a non-factor.  It was not until 2001 when New England's starting quarterback Drew Bledsoe went down with a minor injury, did Tom Brady start a game.  He eventually took over full time ahead of Bledsoe and that very same season, Brady led the New England Patriots to their first Superbowl victory in franchise history.

Bledsoe was traded to the Buffalo Bills and Brady became the undisputed starter for the New England Patriots.  When Brady was on top of the world, he was quickly brought back down after leading the Patriots to a 9-7 campaign in 2002, missing the playoffs. Media and fans alike began to question if Brady was a the real deal or if the Patriots made a big mistake when kicking Bledsoe out of town.  The following year Tom Brady proved all the doubters wrong when he led New England to their second Superbowl victory in three years.  Then, the following year, he did it again proving he was a franchise quarterback and putting the New England Patriots into the category of dynasty.

Since then, Brady has done everything in his power to be a great quarterback and lead the Patriots to more Superbowls.  He holds the record for most touchdowns in a season (50) and he led New England to a perfect regular season (16-0).  Unfortunately,  these great performances have led to only one more Superbowl appearance and an embarassing loss to the NY Giants.

In 2008, Tom Brady went down with a very serious knee injury.  He missed the entire season. Fill in Matt Cassel did a great job, but the Patriots missed the playoffs.  Now, with Brady, hopefully, at full strength the Patriots look to once again compete for the Superbowl and return the Vince Lombardi trophy to where it belongs.
